Job Description:

LINKS Recruitment Group are recruiting on behalf of one of our International market leading clients. Our client is an established manufacturing company based in Stoke-on-Trent. Due to their expansion they are looking to grow their experienced Production team due to a new client line and require new Production Operators.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ability to learn and understand drawings/ schematics who are articulate.
  • Ability to understand written instruction as well as numerical calculations to understand customer drawings and some idea of measurements from mm/inches/metres.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods either using a scope or magnifier.
  • Responsible for the operations and safety of the assigned production lines and personnel, under limited supervision from the line leader, with the ability to follow a plan and meet targets.
  • Responsible for ensuring all raw materials and consumables for the production process are in place and replenished.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and respect the safety rules imposed in the manufacturing area. 
  • Carry out adjustments to customer requirements in accordance with the specifications, production standards and operating procedures.
  • Partake in all aspects of sampling to assist with quality checks.
  • At the end of the shift, he will have to hand over the instructions to the next team.
  • Contributes daily to development the skills of themselves and others involved with the manufacturing line.


  • Desirable if you can solder or crimp but must be trainable to perform these functions.

The Person:

- (Desirable) 2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment

- Hours of work: Days - 08:00 – 16:50 Monday to Thursday and Friday 08:00-12:10, also allow operators can start at 07:00 and finish 15:50 Monday to Thursday and Friday 07:00-11:10 if they so choose too.
