Job Description:

Manufacturing Operative LINKS Recruitment Group are seeking manufacturing / production operatives on behalf of our client. A prestigous and well-established manufacturer based in Crumlin. 

This is a temporary position for 12 weeks with the opportunity to be taken on permanent therefater. 

 

Temporary shift pattern

week 1: Monday - Thursday 06:00 - 16:00 (£9.55-£10.03)

Week 2: Monday - Thursday 16:00 - 02:00 (£10.03 - £12.04)

 

Permanent shift pattern

Days 6am -2pm (Mon-Fri) - £9.55

Afternoons 2pm -10 pm - £10.03

Nights 10pm – 6am (Sun-Thurs) - £12.04

 

 

Job Purpose:

To be part of a customer focused team in operating manufacturing equipment and processes in line with company procedures and quality standards.

  • Operate production equipment in accordance to standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor the production process ensuring that products are to correct tolerances and meet customer and internal standards and specifications
  • Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and machinery
  • Manufacturing approved products and trials in accordance to specifications and carrying out inspections and quality checks as defined by the management system
  • Record production data and complete records such as raw material used, quantities produced, wastage
  • Loading/Unloading of product into/out of equipment stores and racks
  • Use work instructions as required
  • Looking for faults defects and areas for improvement in all aspects of the process
  • Working in continuous improvement teams
  • Maintain and improve high standard of housekeeping
  • Work with a responsible health and safety attitude towards people buildings, processes and equipment

Education and Experience required for the role

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs to include English and Maths
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Previous experience in Manufacturing industry, ideally with experience of working on continuous process machinery
  • Comfortable and confident in using computers and ERP/MRP systems
