    Job Description:

    LINKS Recruitment Group is excited to be recruiting a Mechanically and Electrically experienced Quantity Surveyor for a Public sector company based in the Cardiff area. The Quantity Surveyor will act as part of the Construction and Projects team.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • build up designed tender and contract documents along with bills of quantities
    • assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies
    • perform risk, value management and cost control
    • advise on a procurement strategy
    • identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks
    • prepare and analyse costings for tenders
    • allocate work to subcontractors
    • provide advice on contractual claims
    • analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports
    • value completed work and arrange payments
    • maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use
    • understand the implications of health and safety regulations
    • liaise regularly with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers

    Desirable Attributes:

    • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
    • NEBOSH Construction Site Safety
    • CSCS Card Holder
    • Confident ability to negotiate
    • Commercially aware
    • Excellent Knowledge of the Construction industry and governing laws.
